Housing/Lodging
View from common area in a North
Residential Area housing suite.

You may make reservations for RMC 2010 on-campus housing as part of the electronic registration process (see the link to registration at the bottom of this page).

The primary housing for the RMC at UMass Amherst will be in the campus North Residential Area Undergraduate Apartments. This area is about 1500 feet from the meeting venue at the Integrated Sciences Building (see PDF campus map). These are the newest housing units on campus. Each unit has four single-person bedrooms that share two bathrooms and kitchenette with refrigerator, plus a shared common room; also, they are air-conditioned. The per-room cost will be $50 per single bedroom per night, with one set of linens/towels provided.

A descriptive brochure for this housing is available.

Parking will be available in the nearby campus perimeter lots (e.g., Lot #44, see PDF campus map) for no additional cost.

Wireless computer connection guest passes will be made available to RMC attendees through the campus information technologies office, for those who can provide their own computers and wireless capability. Wireless service is not presently available in the residence area, so it would need to be used in one one of the academic buildings (including the Integrated Sciences Building). Some hardwire access will be available at the Integrated Sciences Building resource center.

For those who wish to consider staying at a nearby hotel, see the link near the bottom of this page.

Special Needs

As part of the meeting online registration process, provision will be made to request help for special needs. The meeting local organizers will do their best to help with these situations.
