Presentations

The purpose of this exercise is to allow you to demonstrate to us that you have learned wonderful new concepts and ways of looking at proteins and/or nucleic acids. The more you can demonstrate concepts you have learned in class (or picked up peripherally from the class), the higher score you will earn on your presentation. Extra credit for introducing new structural concepts.
You will present you macromolecule in an about 15-20 min oral presentation, using PyMOL and/or Jmol.
- Within a minute or two, introduce your protein in its biological context.
- Present key structural features and describe their impact on function.
- It's better to focus in depth on a few key structural features. For big proteins, don't try to cover everything.
- If you present with PyMol, you should additionally turn in:
  - your PyMOL presentation file
  - a Word or Powerpoint presentation containing explanatory text to go with some selected "flat" images from your presentation.
- If you present with Jmol, you should additionally turn in:
  - your Jmol presentation files (index.html,Reset.txt,xxx.pdb,et al.)
  - your presentation file should include more than just buttons. You should have explanatory text so that someone can browse your presentation without you.
