- On Sunday, at 7:00pm, there will be a last minute help session. I haven't gotten a confirmed room assignment. We'll start out in the regular lecture hall, GSMN 64 and if that's already taken, we'll go to GSMN 51 (lab level, near our lecture hall).
- Our Final Exam has been scheduled. Monday, May 17, 4:00pm in Marcus 131. Please mark your calendars and arrange your schedules now. As noted under "Grading" below, the Final is comprehensive (cumulative).
- Update of my announcement in class Monday! On Wednesday in class, we'll have a review of the most recent material - this is the last official meeting of the class. The review will be in PRS format, so bring your "clickers." The PRS points from this session will be considered "bonus" - extra PRS credit!

- Remember that Office Hours in the CRC are tomorrow, Thursday, from 1:00p-3:00p. Stop by for help.
- On Friday, in the same time slot and place (9:05a, GSMN 64), we will have a "help session." This will be of the format in which you bring questions, so be prepared. Come with questions that are troubling you and speak up!!

- Check out the dangers of hydrogen monoxide. Indeed, there is a group out to ban this chemical. Indeed, you can read about an Orange County, California town that considered banning styrofoam cups because this chemical was used in their production. Story first heard on NPR.

- It will cover 2nd half of Ch 7, Ch8, and Ch9 through Molecular Structure/Geometry (everything through the lecture of 3/26/04)

- Sunday late afternoon help session (with Eddie Esposito): Sunday 5:00p-6:00p, GSMN 64

- March 25th is the last day to drop this course with a grade of "W" - I hope you don't need it, but...
- Our first evening exam will be Tue, Feb 24. Arrive in Marcus 131 at 6:00p. The exam will start promptly at 6:15p and will last 60 min. Copies of old exams from last year are available for review.
- The exam will be closed book. Bring only a calculator. A periodic table will be provided, as will the numeric values and units for the fundamental constants that might be required. Also please bring at least three #2 pencils.
- On Monday, Feb 23, there will be an in-class review for the exam. Come prepared with questions.
- The first exam answer keys are available. Individual scores are now available through OWL. Included with your score is a question-by-question comparison of your responses and the answer key for your exam, so that you can quickly see where you went wrong.
- Professor Martin will be out of town Feb 13-20 at the Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society. Your instructor during that time will be Mr. Esposito.
- Welcome to the course!
- Everyone should now be rostered for OWL. Please try to log in now and begin working the OWL units. As soon as you have your PRS box, please complete that OWL unit to register yourself with the PRS system.
