Total Course Points

Average = 72 ± 16 / Median = 75

This number reflects the weighting described in the initial course description. It includes evening exams, final exam, OWL, PRS, and Lab.

Grade cutoffs are:

A 89-100
AB 84-88
B 78-83
BC 74-77
C 68-73
CD 64-67
D 56-63
F <56

OWL

Average = 89 ± 19 / Median = 100

There were 273 OWL credits this semester. To obtain a score of 100 in OWL, you needed to complete 230 of these by the deadlines (you were allowed to miss 43). The scores at right reflect this.

PRS

Average = 83 ± 27 / Median = 100

There were 72 regular session PRS questions this semester. To obtain a score of 100 in PRS, you needed to complete 50 of these (you were allowed to miss 22). However, the extra credit session on the last day of classes provided for 19 extra points, so including the extra credit, you could have answered 91 PRS questions. The scores at right reflect the minimal 50 for 100 PRS points.

Laboratory

Average = 82 ± 22 / Median = 89

Final Exam

Average = 63 ± 16

Scores are now available on OWL.

The average of 64 is again a bit lower than I'd like. Please look over your score and your answers and find out where you went wrong.

Exam 2

Average = 65 ± 16

Scores are now available on OWL.

The average of 65 is a bit lower than I'd like. Some of you did better than last time (relative to the average); others did worse. Please look over your score and your answers and find out where you went wrong.

If your response report has a "star" in it, as in "234131*231132", please EMail me. This indicates an ambiguity on your OpScan sheet (example, as for an incomplete erasure of a changed response).

Good luck on the remaining exams!!

Exam 1

Average = 85 ± 14

The histogram at right shows that the vast majority of you did well on the exam. This is likely to be the easiest of the exams, so don't get overconfident, but congratulations!

Please proceed to OWL to find out how you did on the exam.
